Business Development Representative

The #1 Recruiting Company in the Triangle for the past 9 years running (as featured by the Triangle Business Journal) is searching for a Business Development Representative (BDR). As an BDR, you will be the first sales contact that a prospect has with Personify. Using outreach emails, phone calls, and social media, you will connect with the right person using the best possible message to set up discovery/intake calls and demos for our sales team.  Our teams are collaborative and we enjoy a very dynamic culture, as recognized (again by the Triangle Business Journal) as a “Best Place To Work” the past four years.

Your Day to Day:

  • Efficiently manage a high volume of both outbound and inbound emails and chats
  • Ensure a seamless handoff of appointments (discovery calls, demos) to the rest of the sales team
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity and prospect information in our CRM
  • Analyze sales data and recommend new outreach strategies
  • Provide suggestions to the Sales Lead to improve external communication and internal processes

Skill Sets That Will Be Developed:

  • Experience or enthusiasm for mid-high volume cold calling by email and phone
  • The ability to proactively engage new clients by tailoring a pitch through  a combination of research and empathy
  • An adaptive, creative, consultative and human sales approach–every conversation is different, there are no scripts
  • The skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value proposition of Personify’s integrated talent solutions
  • A knack for asking great questions to uncover issues with a prospect’s current recruiting process and pain points
  • An understanding of how to qualify buyer interest and identify target customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and database management skills
  • A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks
  • A desire to learn, grow and make each day better than the one before it

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

  • Interest in growth in a sales career
  • Passion for providing excellent service, talent acquisition, and an ability to speak knowledgeably about the industry
  • Clear communication, a strong motivation to exceed goals, and a commitment to integrity
  • Excellent writing skills with attention to grammar and tone
  • An analytical thinker who can see trends across vast amounts of data
  • A self-starter who can diagnose inefficiencies and optimize processes to maximize results
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of customer-facing/phone sales experience a part of SaaS or B2B company or a driven and eager to learn new grad who thrives in fast-paced, constantly changing environments

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in recruiting and talent acquisition
  • Experience with CRM, specifically Salesforce and Salesloft.
