As global markets tighten, understanding the link between recruitment, engagement, and retention should be top of mind for senior executives and nextgen talent strategists.
Personify, a leading recruitment solutions provider today announces a strategic US partnership with employee engagement solutions provider, Peakon (www.peakon.com).
Under the terms of the partnership, Peakon will provide ongoing engagement data on the employee populations of selected Personify customers. In addition, Peakon will help to develop and implement engagement experiences for new employees who are placed by Personify as they are being on-boarded into their new roles.
Recent data published by the US Department of Labor shows that the average job tenure for millennials is just two years, yet they represent one third of the US workforce. This partnership, which is an industry-first, will test both the science and our belief that the long-term solution to the problem of turnover lies in understanding the insights drawn from a highly engaged workforce and applying them to your ongoing recruitment strategy. When applied correctly, engagement data quickly becomes another tool for talent leaders who are accountable for improving retention.
Neil Ryland, CRO at Peakon, says “Businesses can often prioritize their products or profits ahead of their people. We expect that employee engagement will be continually pushed up the executive boardroom agenda over the next few years. Unengaged employees can drain morale, lower productivity and have a significant impact on revenue. Real time people data will provide insights to help all leaders make better people decisions to avoid low engagement levels.”
“The US can be a very tough market to crack for any European enterprise, but Ryan is a really impressive entrepreneur. Despite building one of the fastest growing private companies, he and the team have retained their dynamic working culture. They are fun to work with, celebrate each other’s achievements and we really believe in each other’s capabilities. We are excited to see where this partnership will lead.”
Ryan Carfley, Personify’s President, says: “We have used Peakon very successfully within our own business, and we see it as a vital tool in the Recruit – Engage – Retain cycle we are working to champion. Peakon’s continuous conversation model allows us to connect directly with the ‘pulse’ of our business. This partnership represents Personify’s ongoing commitment to the integration of nextgen talent solutions to our already forward-thinking model.”
The increasing skilled labor shortage continues to present as one of the most daunting challenges facing employers. Fostering employee engagement begins with a candidate’s first interaction with a company and is carried forward throughout that given employee’s tenure. Our plan is to create a consistent cycle of: Recruit – Engage – Retain.
